FAQs
What’s the difference between SIL and SDA?
SIL is the support you receive to live independently, such as help with daily tasks, while SDA refers to the physical building designed to meet high support needs.
You can receive SIL in any home, but SDA is a specific type of housing funded by the NDIS for eligible participants.
Who can access SIL?
Anyone with an NDIS plan that includes SIL funding. You’ll typically need to demonstrate a need for regular support in daily living activities. We can guide you through the assessment process.
Am I eligible for SDA housing?
The NDIA determines SDA eligibility. To qualify, you must have very high support needs or extreme functional impairment. If approved, SDA funding will appear in your plan. Our team can help you through the process.
Can I choose the location of my SDA or SIL home?
Absolutely. Your preferences matter. We work closely with you to find a home that suits your goals, lifestyle, and location needs.
Can I live with others or alone?
Yes. We offer both shared and individual options, depending on your funding and preferences. You can also request to live with friends or specific housemates.
